Internal Sales – Access Rental – Melbourne West

The Role.

We are looking for a motivated Internal Sales professional to join our Melbourne West branch and support the rental department in delivering the high level of service United is known for. In this role, you will manage customer enquiries, build and maintain strong client relationships, and identify opportunities to grow both casual and long-term rental business. You will work closely with the Rental Team in a fast-paced environment, coordinating hire requirements through effective communication, planning, and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities.

In this role you will be responsible for the following.

• Manage incoming hire enquiries and generate accurate documentation.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and provide timely follow-ups.
• Analyse customer data to support decision-making and identify new opportunities.
• Support business development by researching and engaging potential clients.
• Ensure accurate reporting, record-keeping, and general administrative tasks.
• Work closely with internal teams, including BDMs and transport providers, to meet customer expectations.
• Adhere to company policies and contribute to continuous improvement across hire operations.

Qualifications and Experience.

The successful candidate will ideally have the following qualifications and experience.

• Professional presentation with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships and liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong organisational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good computer literacy and administrative capability.
• Understanding of products with the ability to communicate value to customers.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
