The Role.

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative – Field to join our team at our Melbourne East branch. This role plays a key part in building and maintaining strong customer relationships, promoting planned maintenance programs, and identifying service opportunities that support ongoing business growth. You will work closely with customers to ensure their equipment and operations are supported, helping to deliver reliable and efficient service outcomes.

This role suits someone with a strong background in customer service, relationship management, or sales, particularly within planned maintenance, servicing, or mechanical industries. Mechanical aptitude or trade experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.

Key Responsibilities.

In this role you will be responsible for the following.

  • Promote and sign up new PMP service/maintenance schedules/ workshop repairs.
  • Approach potential customers with the aim of increasing customer base and turnover.
  • Visually inspect and report on the condition of customer equipment on site and identify retail opportunities.
  • Pursue Service Department business development opportunities, manage customer enquiries, and prepare equipment repair quotations.
  • Follow up on quotations to secure repair work and drive successful outcomes.
  • Liaise with existing customers to ensure satisfaction with services and facilities.
  • Provide a central point of contact for customer service.
  • Visual inspection and reporting of damage to hire fleet vehicles.
  • Customer analysis and rediscovery.
  • Assisting customers to ensure their equipment needs are met and maintained.
  • Manage cold call cycle program.

Qualifications and Experience.

The successful candidate will ideally have the following qualifications and experience.

  • Strong customer service skills with a professional approach.
  • Mechanical aptitude or trade qualification is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Professional and courteous communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management and task prioritisation.
  • Strong teamwork and work ethic.
