The Role

We are seeking an experiences Spare Parts Interpreter to join our growing team in Cairns. This is an exciting opportunity to kick-start your career in the equipment industry, working with some of the world’s biggest brands, including Caterpillar, Haulotte, and Konecranes.

In this hands-on role, you’ll learn how to identify and source spare parts, assist customers with their enquiries, and support our workshop operations, all while gaining valuable industry experience and training from a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

The key focus of this role involves the interpretation and supply of spare parts for forklifts and access equipment. This includes:

  • Build and develop customer relationships through the provision of excellent customer service, ensuring customer needs are being met or exceeded
  • Work closely with the workshop to ensure parts availability and process compliance
  • Monitor stock, spare parts and inventory, organising stock takes as required
  • Maintains clean, organised stores and shared areas
  • Follows delegated authority for ordering, invoicing, and credits
  • A proactive approach to resolving customer issues quickly and professionally

 

Qualifications / Experience

To be considered for this position, you will ideally have the following:

  • Prior commercial experience
  • Mechanical trade background
  • Strong parts interpreting skills and industry knowledge (highly advantageous)
  • Strong background and experience in spare parts ideally in equipment or heavy vehicle sectors (advantageous)
  • Strong time management and planning
  • Proficient with computers and software
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Reliable and solutions-focused
  • Skilled in negotiation and multitasking
