Business Development Manager – Forklift Rental – Brisbane

The Role.

We are looking for a proven and self-motivated Business Development Manager – Forklift Rental to join our team at our Brisbane branch and drive growth within the forklift hire market. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing customer requirements, and contributing to the expansion of the rental fleet within a competitive market. You will play a key role in identifying growth opportunities, supporting business objectives, and strengthening the company’s market position within the region.

Key Responsibilities.

In this role you will be responsible for the following.

• Manage casual hire of rental forklift equipment within the assigned region.
• Support the development and growth of the rental department, with a focus on the casual forklift rental fleet.
• Identify opportunities to improve market penetration and increase regional market share.
• Work towards achieving business goals in line with budget requirements.
• Manage and support the needs of existing customer accounts.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop solutions that support customer outcomes and business objectives.
• Actively grow the customer base through proactive engagement with new and existing clients.

Qualifications and Experience.

The successful candidate will ideally have the following qualifications and experience.

• Sound understanding of equipment is advantageous but not essential.
• Proven experience in solution-based selling within a commercial environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with a results-driven mindset.
• Highly motivated with relevant industry experience viewed favourably.
• Ability to work autonomously with a strong can-do attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong IT and systems capability.
• Collaborative team player with a focus on contributing to a high-performing team environment.
