Business Development Manager – Forklift Rental – Brisbane

The Role

We are seeking a proven and self-motivated Business Development Manager to join our forklift rental team in Brisbane, who is eager to align themselves with one of Australia’s largest privately-owned forklift and access equipment companies and proud recipients of the Global Dealer Award for both Cat and Konecranes.

Ideally, you'll bring experience in the hire industry, strong customer account management skills, and a genuine interest in developing your expertise. Full product training will be provided for the right person who's committed to building a long-term career with us.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the casual hire of Rental Fork Truck equipment
• Participate in the development and growth in the rental department with a focus on the casual forklift rental fleet
• Submit initiatives on penetration for the region, by identifying opportunities to improve market share.
• Achieve business goals in accordance with the budget requirements.
• Manage current clientele requirements
• Working closely with other key stakeholders by way of driving solutions that will place the company in a strong position with our customers.
• Expand and grow the customer base through persistence and a strong drive to help new and existing customers businesses thrive

Qualifications / Experience

• Sound understanding of equipment (advantageous but not essential)
• Proven experience in high-end solution selling
• Highly motivated, with industry experience viewed favourably
• Result driven with a strong can-do attitude
• Comfortable working with a high level of autonomy
• Strong commercial acumen
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with solid IT capability
• A collaborative team player who wants to be part of a progressive team
