Dolphins Splash into Perth

30 January 2018

Beginning on January 20th and running right through until March 4th 2018, the City of Perth will be home to a large pod of colourful dolphins for The Big Splash WA’s Art Trail. Hosted by Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation, The Trail is an interactive event consisting of 36 colourful dolphin sculptures that have been painted by local artists and include some well-known themes. The event is to help raise awareness and funds for Perth Children’s Hospital in helping children and adolescents with mental health disorders.

In the setup of this event, United forklift and telehandlers were used to carefully lift and position these heavy concrete dolphin sculptures. The dolphins are located in iconic locations in and around the city including Elizabeth Quay, the Bell Tower and the South Perth Foreshore. The Trail is sure to be loved by the whole family with a range of interactive activities along the way.
