The Role

Our dedicated national team of Workshop Service Mechanics play an important and essential role in our business.

As a Workshop Service Mechanic, you are expected to deliver consistent and high-quality service solutions to support our customers every day. This hands-on role will require you to perform all types of service requirements on a variety of forklift equipment.

 

Reporting to the Service Manager, you’ll also appreciate working with a great team of people at our Mackay branch who are there to support you.

 

Don’t like working a typical 8am-5pm working week? At United, you’ll have the option of working a flexible 9-day fortnight. Plus, overtime is paid.

 

You'll also receive an additional 5-days Anniversary Leave each year on top of your 4 weeks annual leave, which gives a total of *5 weeks leave.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

The key focus of this role involves the maintenance servicing of forklift and access equipment. This includes:

  • Planned maintenance (PMP) and inspections,
  • Repairs,
  • Overhauls,
  • New machine builds,
  • Modifications

 

 

Qualifications / Experience

To be considered for this position, you will ideally have the following:

Essential
  • Automotive mechanic trade background,
  • Be a team player,
  • Attention to detail,
  • Be able to work with minimal supervision,
  • Good customer service relationships,
  • Must be reliable and punctual.

 

Desirable
  • Electrical and hydraulic experience highly regarded.
