The Role
Our dedicated national team of Service Technicians play an important and essential role in our business. We are currently looking for both forklift and access equipment technicians.
As a United service technician, you are expected to deliver consistent and high-quality service solutions to support our customers every day. This hands-on role will you to perform all types of service requirements on a variety of forklift equipment and access equipment.
Currently we have opportunities available across our national branch network for both workshop and mobile technician roles.
Workshop Technician
Working from our state-of-the-art workshop facilities, you’ll enjoy the variety of the job that ensures your day is never the same. One day you may be performing preventative maintenance or minor repairs, followed by another day where you could be performing a challenging overhaul.
Mobile Service Technician
You’ll enjoy the changing scenery from working on the road, which will see you visiting different customer sites and meeting new people on a daily basis. One day you may be performing planned maintenance or attending an emergency breakdown, followed by another day where you could be performing a challenging repair or overhaul.
Key Responsibilities
The key focus of this role involves the mobile servicing of customer forklifts (up to 7 tonne for light equipment and 10+ tonne for heavy equipment) and access equipment. This includes:
- Planned maintenance (PMP) and inspections,
- Repairs,
- Overhauls,
- New machine builds,
- Modifications
Qualifications / Experience
To be considered for this position, you will ideally have the following:
Essential
- Automotive mechanic trade background,
- Be a team player,
- Attention to detail,
- Be able to work with minimal supervision,
- Good customer service relationships,
- Must be reliable and punctual.
Desirable
- Electrical and hydraulic experience highly regarded.
