The Role
This is an exciting time for an experienced Service Manager to join an organisation .

Key Responsibilities
- Promote a positive and productive culture underpinned by the company’s Code of Conduct especially within the service department.
- Manage the service department personnel in terms of leave, discipline, overtime and training
- Ensuring the rental department is supplied equipment in A1 condition ready for hire as required
- Ensure retail and internal services are planned, booked in conjunction with the Darwin branch, and carried out “on time”.
- Keep abreast of all activity within the service area to ensure we meet and exceed the customers’ expectations.
- Ensure the yard/branch is maintained and kept in a safe condition and good house keeping
- Manage department divisional supervisors including parts
- Schedule road service technicians and provide technical assistance as required
- Raise and submit repair quotes, arrange service bookings and build customer relationships
- Contribute to the branch with positive input to branch and other associated meetings and forums.
About You
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role and knowledge within the Machinery/Equipment Industry
- Mechanical / Electrical trade qualification
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior management and subordinates
- Demonstrates high levels of initiative and judgment
- Good attitude and can do approach
- Good planning and organisational skills
- High levels of oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to operate under pressure
- Proven ability to multitask
- Proven ability to appropriately prioritise
- Analytical approach to problem solving
- Sound experience in supervising people
- Competent commercially and IT skills
- Have initiative in planning and execution
