The Role.

We are looking for a proven and self-motivated Business Development Manager to join our team at our Brisbane branch and drive new business growth across our Cat Lift Trucks equipment range. This role requires strong sales capability, a proactive mindset, and the ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships in a competitive market. You will be joining one of Australia’s largest privately-owned forklift and access equipment company, proud recepient of the Global Dealer Award for both Cat Lift Trucks and Konecranes.

Key Responsibilities.

In this role you will be responsible for the following.

  • Drive sales by aligning customer needs with Caterpillar Lift Trucks: a globally recognised brand built on quality, durability, and reliability. Backed by a strong reputation, CAT® brings confidence and credibility to every customer interaction.
  • Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities within the material handling industry.
  • Leverage existing networks while continuously developing new connections to generate leads.
  • Achieve business goals in accordance with the budget requirements.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing clients while securing new business.

Qualifications and Experience.

The successful candidate will ideally have the following qualifications and experience.

  • Capital Equipment Sales experience highly regarded.
  • Proven background in sales or business development or ready to take that next step.
  • Self-motivated, results driven, and always up for a challenge
  • Confident working independently while contributing to a strong team culture
  • Commercially strategic with excellent communication and IT skills.
